For Over 37 Years, Long Island's Leading Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Preventing Bullying and Child Abuse

Bully Prevention Poster and Poetry Contest and School Year CAPS Calendar

Each year, Long Island 3rd and 4th graders compete in CAPS Bully Prevention and Poetry Contest.  The annual competition gives students who participated in a Steer Clear of Bullies program a creative opportunity to reinforce their understanding of the bully prevention lessons and strategies they learned and practiced in their CAPS classroom workshop.

CAPS Bully Prevention School Year CalenderOn average, we receive hundreds of entry submissions from public and private elementary schools across Long Island that hosted Steer Clear of Bullies for their students.

Twelve talented poster winners and up to 12 poetry winners get to see their drawings and compositions published in our CAPS Bully Prevention School Calendar, which is distributed to all elementary schools and libraries on Long Island.  Production of the calendar is made possible, each year, through the generosity of Roz and Howard Kroplick.
