Congratulations to the amazing students from Half Hollow East High School in Dix Hills, NY, who are this year’s winners of CAPS “Strike Out Bullying” Video Contest in partnership with the New York Mets! This student produced PSA will be shown at Citi Field on May 23rd! These students will be special guests of the NY Mets at a pre-game ceremony. CAPS 2nd Annual “Strike Out” Bullying HS Video Contest – Win an Amazin’ New York Mets Experience!!



Dear Educator,

Your high school group/team/club can win an exciting New York Mets Experience while “striking out” bullying. As part of the New York Mets partnership with CAPS’ Bullying Prevention Center to “strike out” bullying, CAPS is launching a video contest to actively engage school communities to stop bullying . The contest is open to Long Island high school groups. First prize – Up to 15 students of the winning team and 2 faculty chaperones will be guests of the New York Mets at Citi Field for batting practice, a pre- game ceremony on the field and tickets to the game.

Participating school teams will create a 60 sec PSA/video that promotes positive messaging, e.g. upstander behavior, respect for all, inclusion. Each video submission must be submitted with short outline stating  how you will use this video in your school community to promote a positive school climate.
