For Over 30 Years, Long Island's Leading Organization Dedicated to Preventing Bullying and Child Abuse

What is Bullying?

Bullying is a civil and human rights issue impacting all students and their ability to learn.

Each day, there are children afraid to go to school. There are children who are harassed, tormented and persecuted. Each day there are children bullied mercilessly online. And, all the while, there are the untold numbers of children who are scarred by witnessing these acts of violence as well.

Just six weeks into a new school term, the bully-victim patterns have begun. Bullying can occur anywhere, at anytime. On school buses, in isolated areas of the school building, during a walk home, at after-school activities and recess. Every seven minutes, a child is being bullied in a school playground.
