CAPS 2nd Annual “Strike Out” Bullying HS Video Contest – Win an Amazin’ New York Mets Experience!!

Dear Educator,

Your high school group/team/club can win an exciting New York Mets Experience while “striking out” bullying. As part of the New York Mets partnership with CAPS’ Bullying Prevention Center to “strike out” bullying, CAPS is launching a video contest to actively engage school communities to stop bullying . The contest is open to Long Island high school groups. First prize – Up to 15 students of the winning team and 2 faculty chaperones will be guests of the New York Mets at Citi Field for batting practice, a pre- game ceremony on the field and tickets to the game.

Participating school teams will create a 60 sec PSA/video that promotes positive messaging, e.g. upstander behavior, respect for all, inclusion. Each video submission must be submitted with short outline stating  how you will use this video in your school community to promote a positive school climate.

ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY FRIDAY APRIL 21, 2017. For guidelines, contest entry form and additional information, caps-2017-strike-out-bullying-contest-packet.

Need more information? Contact karasant@capsli.org. This is an “amazin'” opportunity for your students. Join the team to “strike out” bullying.

Please forward this email to any one in your school whom you feel would be interested in participating in this contest.

Sincerely,

Alane Fagin
