Invest in Our Children: The Campaign For CAPS
"Invest in Our Children: The Campaign For CAPS" is an ambitious undertaking that seeks to augment the traditional fundraising efforts of CAPS. The Campaign aims to help CAPS increase program delivery by 50 percent in Nassau County and 70 percent in Suffolk County by 2007. To meet these goals, and to maintain increased levels of services beyond 2007, CAPS must:
  • expand into underserved areas of Nassau and Suffolk Counties
  • double the size of its volunteer corps
  • continue developing state-of-the-art curricula, training programs and tools
  • expand its professional staff by 50 percent
  • relocate to a larger office located more centrally on Long Island, and
  • create an endowment that will help fund the expanded level of services CAPS aims to offer beyond the life of the Campaign.
Funds which continue to support the day-to-day efforts of CAPS are considered separate from funds raised for "Invest in Our Children" which support the organization's long-term growth needs.
